Publishing oversight
The journal is managed under the guidance of the Publication Committee of SASPI, reporting to the Board of Directors. This committee ensures that high publishing standards and editorial independence are maintained in alignment with ethical guidelines and scholarly best practices.
Editorial Structure
Editor-in-Chief—Provides strategic direction, accepts/rejects manuscript, and leads the editorial team through a policy.
Editors—Oversee subject-specific content and supervise review processes.
Handling Editors—Manage manuscript submissions, coordinate peer reviews (one non-blinded internal editorial member review and another blinded external review), and provide decisions of the manuscripts.
Section Editorial Members—Conduct internal, non-blinded reviews of subject-specific manuscripts and provide decisions.
Assistant Editors—Oversee technical checks, manage author communications, and support editorial workflow as a one-point academic contact.
Publishing Policies
Peer Review: At least two peer reviews conducted through the Handling Editors.
Ethical Guidelines: JASPI follows the standards of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors).
Plagiarism Screening: All submissions are screened using iThenticate software.
Open Access: The journal provides unrestricted access to all published content.
Article Processing Charges (APC): Zero. SASPI fully funds the publication costs; no charges are levied on authors.
Archiving: All articles are digitally archived on the journal’s website and other repositories for long-term access.
